I would just like to talk about women following the recent International Womens Day. Who is a woman? Who is a woman to you? Is she your mother, grandmother, aunt? Your sister, cousin, niece, daughter? Is she birth mother, foster mother, step mother, half sister?
Now I've got you thinking, how about another thought? When did woman become a piece of meat? When did it become okay to kidnap, imprison, traffic, rape, abuse, enslave and beat her to death? And why is this so commonplace?
I am a woman, a survivor of child abuse. I have a voice, a mind, a heart, a soul and yes, a body. Who has the right to take that from me? No one. And no one has the right to treat any woman as a piece of meat. Ever.
